Description

Acai Berries are a grape-like fruit native to the rainforests of South America. They are harvested from acai palm trees. Acai palms are tall, slender trees growing to more than 25 m tall, with pinnate leaves up to 3 m long. The fruits are about 1–2 cm in diameter and deep purple color. The seed constitutes about 80% of the fruit. The taste of Acai Berries has been described as a blend of chocolate and berries, with a slight metallic aftertaste.
